Washington Idaho Symphony

Formed in 1971, has developed into a premium orchestra that brings classical and contemporary symphonic music to the Palouse. Participating performers are local residents from Eastern Washington and North Central Idaho. The season features five concerts, including guest artists and one free children’s concert. The Palouse Choral Society

The Palouse Choral society is a non-profit auditioned choir. You can enjoy performances from October through May in the quad cities as well as in the surrounding communities. Performances include a wide variety of music from the choral repertoire, including music from the Renaissance, Baroque and Classical periods through to contemporary choral works. Beasley Performing Arts Coliseum

The Beasley Coliseum in Pullman has 12,500 seats and is one of the largest performing arts centers in the Inland Northwest. The coliseum also offers a smaller, 2,600-seat theatre. Top-name comedians, rock, jazz and country western stars, ballet and operatic touring companies, symphonies and soloists perform throughout the year. Pullman Community Band

The Pullman Community Band plays concerts at community events, special occasions and on the WSU campus throughout the year. Membership is open to all residents of the Palouse, ages 14 and up.  The band meets every Tuesday evening at 7:30 p.m. in the Pullman High School band room for rehearsals.  For information, contact Heidi Jarvis, Conductor, at 509-334-9252.

Artisans at the Dahmen Barn

The Dahmen Barn is located in Uniontown along Hwy 195, 16 miles south of Pullman, in a big white barn behind the famous fence of 1000 iron wheels. Originally a dairy barn, the renovated three-story structure now houses artists’ studios and hosts performing arts events, concerts and dances. Fully ADA accessible.  For a schedule of events call

Rico’s Tavern

Rico’s Tavern on Main Street in Pullman has live music on Friday and Saturday nights, most Thursday nights and varied entertainment schedules throughout the year, and Monday nights are Open Microphone. For more information, call Rico’s Tavern at 509-332-6566.

The WSU Music Department

The WSU Music Department presents or co-sponsors over 200 concerts and recitals yearly. The Kimbrough Music Building, located at the intersection of Campus Street and Library Road, houses a 400-seat recital hall for performances by faculty, students and visiting musicians. Performances include Madrigal singing, March and Stage Bands, Chamber music and jazz performers. For concert information, call 509-335-3898, or visit libarts.wsu.edu.
