Hood Land Company LLC is a holding company for farmland and farm equipment put together by third-generation Whitman County farmer Allen Hood. It includes farmland owned by Allen’s paternal and maternal grandfathers since the late 1800s, as well as land purchased by Allen from the LaFollet, Haynes, Tidus, Williamson, Berger, Morris, Carson, Hatley, and Strom farming families. Allen’s farm equipment is located at his shop along the left side of the highway on the drive from Pullman to Lewiston. Allen hopes that his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren will continue farming in Whitman County with the farmland and equipment held by Hood Land Company LLC.
