Pullman Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Pete Chittenden will be stepping down
from his role to become President of Golden Circle Management Group, a property
management company. Chittenden’s last official day with the Chamber will be July 31,
2026, though he will continue supporting the organization in an advisory capacity through
the 2026 National Lentil Festival.

“On behalf of the board, we are incredibly grateful for Pete’s leadership and service,” said
Chamber Board President Katie Van Wyngarden. “During his time with the Chamber, Pete
has strengthened our operations, fostered a culture focused on supporting local
businesses, and worked tirelessly to build connections throughout our community. His
passion for Pullman and genuine commitment to helping others succeed have left a lasting
impact. While we will miss his optimism and steady leadership, we are excited for him as
he returns to his roots in housing and community development.”

Chittenden assumed the role of Executive Director in June 2025 after a successful career in
the housing industry. A 2003 graduate of Washington State University, Chittenden and his
family returned to the Palouse in 2014. Prior to joining the Chamber, he served as COO of
DABCO Property Management and as Vice President of the Chamber Board. Chittenden
and his wife, Cindy, will continue to call Pullman home as he begins his new role.

“I didn’t think it was possible to love this community more, until I stepped into the
Executive Director role,” said Chittenden. “It has been a privilege to work alongside
business owners, community leaders, volunteers, and residents who care so deeply about
Pullman’s future. Together, we’ve worked to support local businesses, celebrate
community traditions, and create opportunities for growth and connection. Pullman is our
home, and Cindy and I are committed to continuing to invest our time and energy in this
community for years to come.”

Following his departure as Executive Director, Van Wyngarden, with the support of the
Chamber’s Executive Committee, plans to appoint Chittenden to return as a Chamber
board member for the remainder of the year.

“Pete has been an invaluable asset to the Chamber, both as a board member and as
Executive Director,” said Van Wyngarden. “His knowledge, relationships, and deep
commitment to Pullman have helped move the organization forward. We are thankful that
he will continue to share his expertise and passion in this new capacity.”

The Chamber will launch a search for its next Executive Director in the coming weeks.
Chamber leaders are committed to ensuring a smooth transition and building on the strong
foundation established during Chittenden’s tenure
