Member spotlight: Brused Books

It’s time to recognize another Pullman Chamber Member!
This week we’re spotlighting Brused Books, which has been a community staple since it first opened in 1981.
A bibliophile’s delight, the store is home to over 100,000 volumes across a number of genres, with the selection ranging from fiction to nonfiction, cookbooks, guidebooks and so much more.

“I love Brused Books,” shares Pullman Chamber Executive Director Pete Chittenden. “Every time I stop by for one specific book, I end up leaving the store with ten.”
Outside of the store’s wide array of offerings, the independent bookshop on Pullman’s Main Street is a place where books connect people. The bookstore regularly hosts events like author readings, book signings, musical performances and more.

On Wednesday, Nov. 5, Brused Books is teaming up with Greystone Gallery, Palouse Games, Rico’s Public House, Flour Power Bakery and the Everybody Reads Program for a magical evening as bestselling fantasy author Travis Baldree visits the Palouse.
“Books, Brushes, & Baldree” will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Greystone Gallery in downtown Pullman. The gallery’s art display will feature fantasy-themed artwork, including Baldree fan art and painted miniatures. Baldree will be present to sign books for fans and adjudicate a friendly competition of the miniatures.
The event is free to attend, and prospective guests can RSVP on Eventbrite by visiting brusedbooks.com/baldree
In the meantime, stop by Brused Books to grab your Baldree titles and discover your next read!
