Volunteers needed for Pullman’s Fourth of July Celebration

The Pullman Chamber of Commerce is looking for individuals with a passion for community to volunteer at this year’s 50th annual Fourth of July Celebration in Sunnyside Park.
The beloved community event is staffed almost entirely by a team of devoted volunteers, who contribute to the overall success of the celebration by selling Coca-Cola products to attendees, making cotton candy, monitoring and enforcing parking lot closures, assisting Chamber staff with park cleanup on July 5 and more.
“Pullman’s Fourth of July Celebration wouldn’t be possible without the incredible dedication of our volunteers,” says Tourism Promotions Manager Alexis Foran. “Volunteers are the backbone behind the event and the unforgettable memories it generates for all attendees.”
Foran says that volunteering at the Fourth of July Celebration is an excellent way to build community while simultaneously giving back to it.
“Volunteering at events like the Fourth is the perfect way to meet new people and connect with familiar faces while also giving back to the community,” says Foran. “Our Fourth of July Celebration is more than just a fireworks show, it’s about friends, families and neighbors coming together to celebrate Pullman.”
Individuals looking to volunteer at this year’s Fourth of July Celebration can sign up for a role and timeslot on the Chamber’s digital Fourth of July Volunteer Registration Form. WSU students can also earn verified service hours by helping with the Fourth of July event. More information for students can be found on GivePulse.
Pullman’s 50th Annual Fourth of July Celebration and Fireworks will kick off at 5 p.m. on July 4 in Sunnyside Park.
